Title: Program at Toa Payoh Library
Posted on: Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Today I went to Toa Payoh Library for a program on eNews. The people taught my mother, my younger sister, some other participants and I how to search the internet for news. They were quite a few search engines.

One even allowed us to read the newspaper, detail for detail, even the advertisments! The website could also read an article from the newspaper out loud. It was really cute! hmm....maybe the future technology would include digitising all paper materials and reduce the usage of paper to save the earth! How nice. However, if the whole of Singapore were to use the website, it would be as slow as a snail, or even slower! Well, maybe that wouldn't work out after all...

You could go to the NLB website too. Check out the eResources. Have fun...and good bye!
